About this dashboard

The DPSCD Capital Programs Dashboard & Map shows how the District is investing in its school buildings: how much, where the money comes from, and what work is planned, underway or finished at each school and site.

How it’s organized

  • Two funding sources. The Facility Master Plan, approved by the Board of Education in May 2022, and Board-Approved Capital Funds: money the Board of Education approves each year for building projects.
  • Programs. Each funding source pays for a set of programs, such as a Facility Master Plan series or athletic fields.
  • Schools and sites. Every location with capital work, including buildings that aren’t schools.
  • Projects. One piece of work at one school or site, such as a roof or an elevator.

Phases

To keep things simple, the dashboard shows each project in one of six steps: Not started, Planning, Procurement, Design, Construction and Closeout. For a building being demolished, Demolition takes the place of Construction.

Where the information comes from

Project, budget and progress information comes from the District’s capital projects reports. School locations come from public school records.

Still to come

Spending for each project, plain-language descriptions and photos of each building.
